Shooting Truth the Movie

December 14, 2012

So it has come and gone. What will be said as my crowing achievement of 2012. And if we’re being honest if very well may one day be considered my best work of the last five years. We’ve wrapped filming “Truth the Movie” – a working title (that means the final name of the movie has not yet been decided upon). If you follow me on Twitter and “Like” my Brent Corrigan Facebook Fanpage then you know I’ve been all but MIA for the past 45 or so days due to total immersion in this latest project. You may remember back in August and September when we campaigned to help raise some the production funds needed to help make the [...]

Halloween 2012

October 31, 2012

This Halloween marks my 26th birthday. Today! As I’ve said many years in a row now, I haven’t felt my age for a very long time. Even as a child I had adults telling me I seemed “wise beyond my years”. This was an observation, and an opinion, I was proud to wear as a badge. And then shit got real for me as a once-underage adult star-turned-star-witness in a murder investigation/trial. That’s when I learned very truly that even if you’re mature for your age that doesn’t mean you have the life experience inherently within you to weather even some of the more serious storms life might throw at you. As I look back at the last few Halloweens [...]

Andrew Christian Halloween Shoot

October 26, 2012

It’s that time of year again. Fall. Autumn. And with it, smack dab right in the center comes Halloween – and my birthday. This year I’m turning 26 years old. The month has just flown by as I move toward the filming of my next project, “Truth” and wrap up filming my last project, a horror film called “Kissing Darkness”. It’s been an outstanding last two months considering I’ve been able to to not only busy myself with projects for the short term but also the long. We’re starting to see more screening dates for “Welcome to New York” as well. Things just seem to be moving right along in the mainstream arena of my life. A few months ago [...]

Gay Military Marriage Proposal

June 6, 2012

Guys!  Check out this adorable proposal video I ran across.  I don’t normally cock my head and say “aw” but this time, I’d be stone cold stoic if I didn’t twitch even just a little. These proposal videos have been cropping up everywhere.  Remember the days when it was just between two people and the most public part was the cute little “how he proposed” was told to a circle of adoring acquaintances (or is that only something they write in movie scripts to make couples seem more fascinating?)?  Okay, so it’s no secret times have changed and so do traditions along with that notion…. I’m getting away from my point. I posted this in part because I think these [...]

Sassy Prom 2012

June 5, 2012

Hey Everyone! Check out these pics from West Hollywood Sassy Prom 2012. I was the original prom king way back . . . oh, a few years ago. If you’ve followed me since the beginning you remember the pictures. They’re terrible so if you haven’t seen them already try to avoid them unless you’re looking for a good laugh. Every few years I come back to Sassy and host or just enjoy the party! This year’s theme was Rock of Ages (hence the crazy get up and all the shimmer and glitter). Have I ever told you just how much I love a good themed party? Maybe some of why I want to be an actor is rooted in the [...]

Lower the Stakes & Keep Your Dignity.

May 16, 2012

You know what I miss most about being young(er) and dumb? This belief that I could say or write almost anything and people were going to appreciate me for speaking my mind. These days, I bite my tongue or curtail my fingers on the keyboard too often considering what might happen if I share too candidly about my experiences. Or, I consider the outcome if I take the to the world with the news about some great new project I am involved in too soon and then the entire thing folds right in front of my face on the heels of my announcement. The truth is, the stakes. I consider them these days more than I should. I suppose like [...]

Coachella 2012!

April 25, 2012

I live in San Diego where the music scene is a huge element to the social make up of our town. A lot of bands originate here. I grew up in Seattle, also known for its thriving music scene. When I moved to San Diego for years I was hearing about all the great festivals and events that happen all over Southern California.  Each year I’d check out the events and their line ups and think, “Wouldn’t it be great if . . .” Though, I never actually pushed myself to make it a reality. I love music. I think most people do. Music is a huge part of my daily life; I spend my work day with Pandora lulling [...]

Shoot: “Welcome to New York”

April 19, 2012

A few weekends ago I was in New York City shooting my latest film project. It’ll mark as my first ever Rom Com (Romantic Comedy) in which I have a more centric role.  I’ve done comedies before but Welcome to New York truly is the first chance I’ve had to play a dead-set comedic part in which I’m given more than two scenes and a pair of fins (Another Gay Sequel) or I’m not cast in the role of the “straight” one, that is to mean that in “I Was A Teenage Werebear” all of the other characters in the film were the cartoon-like, exaggerated types and I was the serious sun all others orbited and danced around in their [...]

Spam much?

March 28, 2012

Considering people get a lot spam, I’d say I’m one of the luckier ones. When I get spammed it’s not people trying to sell me erectile enlargement supplements or a subscription to Persian Wife Finder dot com. But I DO get these damn e-mailers from Daniel Nardicio (New York Nightlife promoter with a nasty edge) and never know what to do with them because frankly, until recently, I don’t have time to fart let alone take a trip to NYC. Unless of course I’m shooting a movie about New York, like say . . . “Welcome to New York” (journal to come! Just waiting on shots from the set!) And for the record, farts are totally applicable here. I’m mildly [...]
